All the men in the family had died. The three widows were left to fend for themselves. Taking the advice of the mother-in-law, one left for her own land, perhaps to get away from all the misery. But Ruth clung to her saying , “Don’t urge me to leave you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.”
She had come to know this God, He was alive, He was a God of MIRACLES and WONDERS. And God rewarded her faith and gave Ruth the most amazing husband, Boaz and she became the great grandmother of David and eventually our Lord!
Against all odds hope in the Lord as Ruth did. God will make a way.
