what do you put in the search bar to find old internet stuff? I’m trying to find like old 90s graphics and stuff but all i find are gifs like on gifcities. i would like to find those and still images too but not sure exactly how to search for it to find images. love your blog – it’s awesome.
Some sites that are still up that I’ve found icons and similar graphics on: Jellymuffin, Glitter-Graphics.com, AvatarHell, Beyond Avatars, BadassBuddy. Those sites, especially the first two, have lots of 2000s graphics other than icons. The ones I just found are PicGifs, AvatarMagic, Alphacoders and Messentools.com. I’ve had incredible luck searching the Internet Archive, especially their Xanga collection, and just in general for search terms like “avatars” and “MySpace graphics”. If you search the Geocities archive sites like Geocities.ws and Oocities you can also find stuff. Of course Blingee is a classic. I believe Photobucket’s search function works again though I haven’t used it much; I imagine that’s a treasure trove though. General search terms I use are MSN avatars/icons, MySpace avatars/icons/graphics, Xanga icons, LiveJournal icons. And finally lots of old LiveJournal graphics communities are still up. Good luck!
