Underrated Horror Recommendations
With a new SCREAM film in the works, I feel like it’s time to revisit the franchise’s previous entry. This movie slaps! It takes what was great about SCREAM (1996) and juxtaposes it against what was popular in the horror genre in the early 2010s, crafting a unique and timely (well, at the time…) meta horror experience unlike any other. It satisfies the requirements for everything you want a SCREAM movie to be, while also breaking new ground and setting the stage for whatever will ultimately come to follow now. This was Wes Craven’s final film and in my opinion he went out on as high a note as possible!
