stimming – self stimulation – is something that everyone does, but especially people with ASD and ADHD. it can be a way to relieve stress, or drown out stimuli, or release energy, or express joy
please support stimming. don’t hold yourself back. if it’s not hurting anyone, and if it’s an environment where no one has any business telling you that you’re a distraction – or even if it is, but your emotions are too intense to just bottle up – go and live in your body. this is how we communicate with the world and with ourselves.
